Zimbabwe Mission Trip — June 11 - July 3, 2001
The hearts of many young people were open to Jesus.
The Lion King? This fine-looking fellow lives in the Lion and Cheetah
Park, a drive-through wildlife park we visited outside
the city on the day of the solar
eclipse. There were no schools to visit because
they had all closed for the day to make sure the children were under parental
supervision, apparently to avoid blinding incidents at school from staring at
the 96-percent-covered sun.
|
Watching the eclipse
(through mylar lenses of course)...and
sharing the good news about Jesus Christ.
There were 1,600 children at this school assembly.
|
Zimbabwe is a beautiful land with beautiful people. |
Awana Club day
|
Game time!
|
All work and no play makes Pat a dull boy. Or at least it would have,
so that's why we played volleyball when back at the Christian conference center
where we stayed. :-)
