Hello!  Thanks for stopping by.  My name is Pat Hastings IV and I live in Lago Vista, Texas.  During the week of October 12-18, 2002, I attended Worldview Academy at the first-rate facilities of the T Bar M Conference Center near New Braunfels, Texas.  If you haven't yet had an opportunity to go to a session of Worldview Academy, whether in South Texas or any of the other locations it is held each year around the nation...well, to put it succinctly, you should.
The week I spent at Worldview Academy had a great impact on my own perspective. It awakened me to issues about which I had previously been blissfully unaware, reminding me that nothing is insignificant enough to be ignored.  Christians must be consistently faithful to their worldview, for otherwise actions will contradict words and influence over others will be lost.  Without influence we will find it impossible to be leaders.

"It awakened me to issues about which I had previously been blissfully unaware"

Worldview Academy also served to affirm my goal to be counted worthy for the Lord Jesus Christ, and that being a scientist is as noble as being a pastor because in either position I am serving God with my whole heart.  I was encouraged also by other students at Worldview Academy.  Seeing many, like myself, eagerly filling their minds with information that has eternal meaning and significance makes me optimistic that others also want to make a difference.

For those of you who have been to Worldview Academy, God has given you tools that you are now responsible to use.  For those who have never been, if you have the opportunity, I urge you to attend.  And regardless of whether or not you go, you can still make it a point to form a Christian worldview and prepare yourself to defend it.  I thank God for what this has meant in my life, for it was truly an outstanding experience.

"...makes me optimistic that others also want to make a difference."

"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."  (2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV)

Great small groups...
Great fellowship at mealtimes...
Great fellow students...
On the last morning, parents were invited to come early to pick up their student(s). Here some parents are in the back of the main classroom sitting in on the final session.

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." (1 Peter 3:15-16 NIV)
