Climbing Guadalupe Peak

Troop 77 at the Pine Springs trailhead for the Guadalupe Peak and Tejas Trails.

Ganya and Christina start up the 4.2 miles--and nearly 3000 feet elevation gain--to Guadalupe Peak.

"Now just HOW did that big rock get stuck up in those tree limbs?"

"I thought you told me this was going to be an EASY hike?"

"Come on, you can't give up now!"

It's so narrow and steep here that riders are required to dismount and lead their horses through this section.
